Berries With Sabayon

Ingredients
- Servings: 6
- 2 cups strawberries, hulled and quartered
- 1 cup raspberries
- 1/4 cup slivered almonds, lightly toasted (optional)
- 4 egg yolks
- 1/2 cup dry marsala, wine (or fruity, such as riesling)
- 1/4 cup sugar
Recipe
- 1 combine strawberries and raspberries in a bowl.
- 2 divide among 6 dessert goblets or dish, set aside.
- 3 to make sabayon:.
- 4 in large heatproof bowl over saucepan of gently simmering (not boiling) water, whisk together egg yolks, marsala and sugar until thick enough to mound softly on spoon (5 to 7 minutes).
- 5 spoon over fruit, sprinkle with almonds if using.
