Basic Pound Cake.

Ingredients
- Servings: 12
- 1/2 lb flour (any type of flour)
- 1/2 lb egg (weigh eggs with their shells)
- 1/2 lb soft butter
- 1/2 lb sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 pinch salt
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 350°.
- 2 add all the ingredients to a bowl of a cake mixer.
- 3 beat on high for 7 minutes.
- 4 grease a loaf dish.
- 5 pour cake batter into dish.
- 6 bake for 65 minutes; check doneness with toothpick or cake tester.
- 7 allow to cool covered with paper towel for 30 minutes.
- 8 transfer to cooling rack and allow to cool covered.
- 9 once cooled, cut into slices and serve.
