Applesauce Cake (johnny Cash's Mother's Recipe)

Ingredients

• 2 1/2 cups self-rising flour
• 2 cups sugar
• 3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
• 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
• 1/2 teaspoon allspice
• 1 1/2 cups applesauce
• 1/2 cup water
• 1/2 cup shortening
• 2 eggs
• 1 cup raisins
• 1/2 cup nuts (recipe doesn't say to chop, but i would chop)

Recipe

• 1 mix all ingredients together in large mixing bowl.
• 2 grease pan; sprinkle with sugar and dust out loose sugar.
• 3 bake in loaf pan or square pan at 350 degrees for 50-55 minutes.
