Blondies With Chocolate Ganache

Ingredients

- 2 eggs
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1/2 teaspoon orange extract
- 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
- 12 ounces chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
Recipe
- 1 heat oven to 325 degrees f; coat an 8-by-8-inch baking pan with cooking spray.
- 2 in large bowl, use an electric mixer to beat the eggs and sugar until the mixture is light and thick.
- 3 fold in the flour, then the butter and orange and almond extacts.
- 4 transfer the batter to the prepared pan.
- 5 bake for 25-30 minutes, or until set and just golden at the edges.
- 6 let cool for 10 minutes before topping with the ganache.
- 7 meanwhile, to prepare the ganache, in the top of a double boiler, combine the chocolate chips and cream.
- 8 stir until melted and smooth.
- 9 when the bars are slightly cooled, pour the ganache over the top and spread to the edges.
- 10 refrigerate for 1 hour, or until the ganache has set up.
- 11 refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container.
