Caramel Dumplings

Ingredients

- 1 1/4 cups self raising flour
- 1 pinch salt
- 30 g butter
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
- 1/3 cup milk
- 30 g butter
- 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 1/2 cups water
Recipe
- 1 rub sugar and butter together.
- 2 add flour, salt, vanilla and milk and mix through until it's a doughy consistency.
- 3 in a saucepan, melt the butter.
- 4 add brown sugar, salt and water.
- 5 bring to boil and ensure all the sugar is melted.
- 6 drop tablespoonfulls of the dough mixture into the sauce.
- 7 cover and simmer for 15 minutes.
