Caramel Dumplings

Ingredients

- 2 tablespoons margarine
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 3/4 cups boiling water
- 1 tablespoon margarine
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 cup flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 pinch salt
Recipe
- 1 for the sauce, melt the margarine in a casserole dish on top of the stove.
- 2 add brown sugar and boiling water.
- 3 bring to a boil.
- 4 remove from heat.
- 5 mix all of the dumpling ingredients together.
- 6 drop by spoonfuls into the sauce.
- 7 bake, uncovered, at 375 degrees for 30 minutes.
