Caramel Dumplings

Total Time: 45 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 2 tablespoons margarine
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 3/4 cups boiling water
  • 1 tablespoon margarine
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 pinch salt

Recipe

  • 1 for the sauce, melt the margarine in a casserole dish on top of the stove.
  • 2 add brown sugar and boiling water.
  • 3 bring to a boil.
  • 4 remove from heat.
  • 5 mix all of the dumpling ingredients together.
  • 6 drop by spoonfuls into the sauce.
  • 7 bake, uncovered, at 375 degrees for 30 minutes.
