- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 cup flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Recipe
- 1 for the sauce: carmelize the brown sugar and butter. add the water and boil for a few minutes. pour into a 2 quart casserole dish.
- 2 for the dumplings: preheat oven to 350 degrees. cream butter and sugar. add milk. stir in flour, baking powder and salt. drop by spoonfuls into the sauce. bake for 20 - 30 minutes.
