Ingredients

- 2 cups sugar
- 3 1/2 cups milk
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 6 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Recipe
- 1 place 1 cup of sugar in a heavy pan.
- 2 stir sugar at low heat until it is liquid and light golden brown.
- 3 pour caramelized sugar evenly into six warm custard cups.
- 4 set cups aside.
- 5 place milk and cinnamon stick in a medium sized saucepan.
- 6 scald milk at medium heat and allow to cool.
- 7 beat eggs until foamy.
- 8 gradually add remaining sugar to eggs and beat well.
- 9 gradually add scalded milk to egg mixture, stirring until sugar dissolves.
- 10 add vanilla.
- 11 pour mixture into caramel lined cups.
- 12 place cups in a pan of hot water and baked in a 350 degrees f oven for 1 hour and 10 minutes.
