Butter Pecan Turtle Bars

Ingredients
- 4 cups flour
- 2 cups brown sugar
- 1 cup softened butter
- 2 cups pecan halves
- 1 1/2 cups butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 350°.
- 2 combine flour, sugar and butter for crust and mix well.
- 3 pat firmly into 13 x 9 pan and sprinkle pecans on top.
- 4 for caramel layer, in a heavy saucepan over medium heat, cook butter and sugar, stirring constantly.
- 5 boil for 1 minute, then pour evenly over crust.
- 6 bake for 25 minutes or until layer is bubbly.
- 7 remove from oven and immediately sprinkle chocolate chips over top.
- 8 allow to melt for about 2 minutes, then stir for marble effect.
- 9 cool completely for several hours before cutting.
