Butter Pecan Pie Squares

Total Time: 1 hr Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 40 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Recipe

  • 1 combine 1 1/4 cups flour and 1/3 cup sugar in a medium bowl; cut in 1/2 cup butter with a pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse meal.
  • 2 press mixture evenly into a greased 9-inch square pan.
  • 3 bake at 375 degrees for 15 minutes.
  • 4 combine next 7 ingredients, and beat well.
  • 5 stir in pecans.
  • 6 pour filling over prepared crust.
  • 7 bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes or until firm.
  • 8 let cool on a rack; cut into squares.
