Busy Day Praline Brownies

Total Time: 50 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 40 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 16
  • 1 package milk chocolate chunk brownie mix (duncan hines)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 3/4 cup pecans (chopped)
  • 3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup pecans (chopped)
  • 1/4 cup butter or 1/4 cup margarine (melted)
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • 2 grease the bottom of a 9 inch square baking pan.
  • 3 for brownies; combine brownie mix, eggs, water, oil and 3/4 cup pecans in a large mixing bowl.
  • 4 stir with a large spoon until well blended, about 50 strokes.
  • 5 spread into pan.
  • 6 bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes.
  • 7 remove from oven.
  • 8 for topping; combine brown sugar, 3/4 cup pecans, melted butter, milk and vanilla extract in a small bowl.
  • 9 stir with spoon until well blended.
  • 10 spread over the hot brownies.
  • 11 return to oven.
  • 12 bake an additional 15 minutes or until topping is set.
  • 13 cool completely.
  • 14 cut into bars.
