Blond Fudge

Total Time: 24 mins Preparation Time: 4 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 24
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup evaporated milk or 1/2 cup cream
  • 1 tablespoon corn syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup chopped candied cherry

Recipe

  • 1 butter sides and bottom of a heavy saucepot and combine the sugar, milk, cream, syrup, salt.
  • 2 cook over medium heat stirring until sugar dissolves.
  • 3 now do not stir anymore.
  • 4 place on the candy thermometer to side of pan.
  • 5 cook until temp.
  • 6 238 degrees.
  • 7 remove from heat.
  • 8 let cool until lukewarm.
  • 9 add in the butter and vanilla.
  • 10 beat well just until it begins to thicken and just starts to loose some gloss.
  • 11 add cherries, and pour into a lightly buttered 9 x 7 inch pan.
  • 12 score while warm.
