Berry Yogurt Cake

Total Time: 1 hr 5 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 50 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup butter or 1/2 cup margarine
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup raspberry yogurt or 1 cup strawberry yogurt
  • icing sugar

Recipe

  • 1 sift together the flour, baking soda and baking powder.
  • 2 cream the butter. gradually add the brown sugar, egg and vanilla. mix thoroughly.
  • 3 blend in the flour and the yogurt alternating between the two.
  • 4 pour batter into a greased 9-inch round cake pan.
  • 5 bake at 350 f for 50 minutes.
  • 6 cool for 5 minutes, turn out of the mold and continue to cool on a wire rack.
  • 7 dust entire cake with icing sugar to cover.
