Cantaloupe Sorbet

Ingredients

  • 1 large ripe cantaloupe, peeled,seeds removed,and cut into chunks
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

Recipe

  • 1 put the cantaloupe chunks into the container of an electric blender.
  • 2 puree until mixture is smooth.
  • 3 measure 4 cups of puree and discard the rest.
  • 4 return the 4 cups of puree back to the blender; add in the sugar and lemon juice.
  • 5 pulse quickly to blend.
  • 6 transfer mixture to a bowl; cover and refrigerate until chilled, at least 1 hour.
  • 7 freeze mixture in an ice cream maker according to the manufactuer's directions.
