Carolina Chew Cake / Chewy Cakes

Ingredients

• 1/2 cup butter, softened
• 1 lb brown sugar
• 3 eggs
• 2 cups self-rising flour
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 1 cup pecans, chopped
• powdered sugar, to dust

Recipe

• 1 preheat oven to 300°f.
• 2 grease a 9x13-inch pan.
• 3 using an electric mixer, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
• 4 add eggs one at a time, beating after each egg.
• 5 add flour; mix well.
• 6 stir in vanilla and pecans by hand.
• 7 pour into prepared pan (batter will be stiff).
• 8 bake for 45 minutes.
• 9 let cool; then dust with powdered sugar.
• 10 cut and serve.
