Apple Cranberry-nut Pie

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 25 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 2 sheets shortcrust pastry
  • 1 egg
  • 400 g pie apples
  • 4 tablespoons dried cranberries (or sultanas)
  • 3 tablespoons hazelnut meal

Recipe

  • 1 place on sheet of pastry in the bottom of a lightly greased pie dish.
  • 2 combine apples, cranberries, and hazelnut meal.
  • 3 spoon apple filling into pie dish.
  • 4 top with other sheet of pastry, and pinch edges together to seal.
  • 5 brush with the beaten egg, and bake at 180c for 25 minutes until pastry is golden.
  • 6 serve hot, with icecream.
