Alice's Cheesecake

Ingredients
- 28 graham crackers
- 5 tablespoons unsulted butter, melted
- 2 egg yolks
- 1 1/2 packages knox gelatin
- 2 egg whites
- 1 (20 ounce) can crushed pineapple
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon real vanilla
- 1 cup sugar
- 16 ounces cream cheese
- 1 pint whipped cream
- 1/2 cup of cold water
- maraschino cherry (any amt)
Recipe
- 1 mix graham cracker crumbs with butter.
- 2 press into a spring form pan.
- 3 mix egg yolks with milk.
- 4 slowly add sugar.
- 5 cook in a double boiler for 15 minutes.
- 6 mix gelatin with water, let stand until dissolved.
- 7 add to hot mixture and cool.
- 8 cream cheese until smooth.
- 9 add egg mixture to the creamed cheese.
- 10 stiffly beat egg whites.
- 11 fold into mixture.
- 12 add whipped cream and vanilla.
- 13 add drained pineapple and cherries.
- 14 pour into spring form pan.
- 15 chill for 4 hours.
- 16 sprinkle graham cracker mixture on top.
