Butterscotch Squares

Ingredients

• 1/4 cup margarine
• 1 cup brown sugar, packed
• 1 egg
• 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
• 3/4 cup flour
• 1 teaspoon baking powder
• 1/4 teaspoon salt
• 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped

Recipe

• 1 melt butter in a saucepan; add it to sugar in a bowl. stir; add egg and vanilla. stir.
• 2 measure in flour, baking powder, salt and nuts; mix well.
• 3 spread in greased 8x8-inch pan.
• 4 bake in 350f oven for 30 minutes until sides show signs of pulling away from sides.
• 5 frost with your favorite icing. cut inot squares and serve.
