Caroline's Gingerbread

Total Time: 45 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • 150 g butter
  • 175 g soft brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons treacle
  • 25 g plain flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons bicarbonate of soda
  • 2 teaspoons ground ginger
  • 150 ml milk
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 chopped apples

Recipe

  • 1 melt together the butter, brown sugar and treacle.
  • 2 mix the rest of the ingredients together and bake at 170 degrees celcius for 30 - 35 minutes. i use a pan about 10 x 8 inches.
