Butterscotch Snack Cake

Ingredients

  • Servings: 12
  • 1 (3 1/2 ounce) package butterscotch pudding mix, cook-and-serve type
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 (18 1/4 ounce) package yellow cake mix
  • 1 (11 ounce) package butterscotch chips
  • 1/2 cup pecans or 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped

Recipe

  • 1 in a large saucepan, combine pudding mix and milk.
  • 2 bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.
  • 3 remove from the heat; stir in dry cake mix.
  • 4 pour into a greased 13-in. x 9-in. x 2-in. baking pan.
  • 5 sprinkle with butterscotch chips and nuts.
  • 6 bake at 350 for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean.
  • 7 cool on a wire rack.
  • 8 yield: 12-16 servings.
