Boston Cream Pie

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 cup pastry flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons hot water
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vinegar or 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • salt

Recipe

  • 1 beat egg whites till stuff - add and beat egg yolks. add sugar, water, and sifted flour with baking powder. add vinegar.
  • 2 bake in deep cake pan.
  • 3 split and fill with cream (custard) filling. whipped cream may be added on top or else sugar may be sprinkled over it.
  • 4 cream filling: moisten with little water.
  • 5 beat one egg and add to mixture. add cup hot milk. cook in double boiler. flavor with lemon.
