Buttertarts

Total Time: 27 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 17 mins

Ingredients

  • 24 frozen tart shells
  • 1/2 cup raisins (optional)
  • 1/4 cup margarine
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup simple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 2 eggs

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 450°f place raisins in small dish, cover with boiling water. allow to soak until edges start to become . drain.
  • 2 cream margarine and sugar. add vanilla, syrup, salt, and lemon juice. add eggs. mix thoroughly.
  • 3 place tart shells on baking sheet. distribute raisins evenly amongst tart shells. pour prepared mixture into shells, filling 2/3.
  • 4 bake at 425f for 5 minutes. reduce heat to 325f and bake for an additional 12-18 minutes. cool on wire rack.
