Ingredients

- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 4 cups flour, sifted
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups milk
- 2 cups blackberries
Recipe
- 1 cream butter and sugar; add eggs and mix well.
- 2 sift dry ingredients together and add alternatively with milk to the first mixture.
- 3 add berries, taking caution not to crush them.
- 4 steam in a well-greased 2 quart mold for two hours.
- 5 serve with sweetened cream flavored with vanilla extract.
