Candied Apples

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 12
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons wild strawberry jell-o gelatin dessert
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 6 apples

Recipe

  • 1 peel apples, core and cut them in half, and remove seeds.
  • 2 place them in a 9x12 baking pan.
  • 3 in a small bowl, mix sugar, cornstarch and jello.
  • 4 using a saucepan, bring to boil the cold water and jello mixture.
  • 5 remove from heat and let cool.
  • 6 it will thicken upon standing.
  • 7 once cool, spoon syrup over apples.
  • 8 cover with foil,folding back corners.
  • 9 cut slits to vent.
  • 10 bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until apples are tender.
