Almond Rusks - Mandelskorpor

Total Time: 20 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 7 tablespoons soft butter, , creamed
  • 3 tablespoons almonds, slivered
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • salt

Recipe

  • 1 beat eggs and sugar together until light.
  • 2 add the creamed butter and the almonds.
  • 3 sift dry ingredients and add a little at a time to first mixture, beating well after each addition.
  • 4 spread the dough 1½ inches thick on a lightly buttered baking sheet.
  • 5 bake in a preheated 375º oven 15 minutes.
  • 6 remove from baking sheet and cut rusk diagonally into pieces ¾ inch thick.
  • 7 cool.
