Buttery Cheese Bars

Ingredients

- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup butter, cold cut in pats
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 2/3 cup evaporated milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 2 teaspoons freshly grated lemon zest
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 350°f.
- 2 combine flour and powdered sugar in medium bowl.
- 3 cut in butter with pastry blender until crumbly.
- 4 press onto bottom and 1" up sides of 13x9 inch baking pan.
- 5 bake for 25 minutes.
- 6 in blender place cream cheese, eggs, evaporated milk, granulated sugar, flour, lemon juice, lemon zest cover blend until smooth.
- 7 pour onto crust.
- 8 bake 15 minutes or until set.
- 9 mix sour cream with sugar and vanilla; spread over top.
- 10 return to oven 5 minutes.
- 11 cool in pan on wire rack.
- 12 refrigerate several hours.
- 13 cut into bars.
