Buttery Cheese Bars

Total Time: 1 hr 5 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 45 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 24
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup butter, cold cut in pats
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2/3 cup evaporated milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons freshly grated lemon zest
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350°f.
  • 2 combine flour and powdered sugar in medium bowl.
  • 3 cut in butter with pastry blender until crumbly.
  • 4 press onto bottom and 1" up sides of 13x9 inch baking pan.
  • 5 bake for 25 minutes.
  • 6 in blender place cream cheese, eggs, evaporated milk, granulated sugar, flour, lemon juice, lemon zest cover blend until smooth.
  • 7 pour onto crust.
  • 8 bake 15 minutes or until set.
  • 9 mix sour cream with sugar and vanilla; spread over top.
  • 10 return to oven 5 minutes.
  • 11 cool in pan on wire rack.
  • 12 refrigerate several hours.
  • 13 cut into bars.
