Butterscotties

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 24
  • 2 1/2 cups unbleached all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup butter, softened to room temp.. 30 min
  • 1 3/4 cups light brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups walnuts, coarsely chopped
  • 1/2 cup butterscotch chips

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350*. lightly butter a 13x9" baking pan.set aside.
  • 2 sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt.set aside.
  • 3 in a large bowl, cream the butter, and brown sugar, with an electric mixer until light.
  • 4 beat in the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  • 5 add the vanilla.stir in the dry sifted ingredients.the walnuts and butterscotch chips until blended.
  • 6 spread in the prepared pan.
  • 7 bake for 30-35 minutes or until the edges begin to brown and pull away from the sides of the pan.
  • 8 cool in pan on wire rack before cutting into bars.
