Brownie Pudding

Ingredients

- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons cocoa
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons shortening, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup chopped walnuts
- 3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/4 cup cocoa
- 1 1/2 cups hot water
Recipe
- 1 combine flour, 1/4 cup sugar, 2 tablespoons cocoa, baking powder, and salt.
- 2 add milk, shortening, and vanilla; mix well.
- 3 stir in nuts.
- 4 pour batter into a greased 8-inch square baking pan.
- 5 combine brown sugar and remaining 1/4 cup cocoa; sprinkle over batter.
- 6 pour water over top.
- 7 bake at 350 degrees f.
- 8 for 40 minutes.
- 9 serve warm over vanilla ice cream, if desired.
