Brownie Pudding

Total Time: 50 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 40 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons shortening, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup chopped walnuts
  • 3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup cocoa
  • 1 1/2 cups hot water

Recipe

  • 1 combine flour, 1/4 cup sugar, 2 tablespoons cocoa, baking powder, and salt.
  • 2 add milk, shortening, and vanilla; mix well.
  • 3 stir in nuts.
  • 4 pour batter into a greased 8-inch square baking pan.
  • 5 combine brown sugar and remaining 1/4 cup cocoa; sprinkle over batter.
  • 6 pour water over top.
  • 7 bake at 350 degrees f.
  • 8 for 40 minutes.
  • 9 serve warm over vanilla ice cream, if desired.
