Apple-molasses Pie

Total Time: 1 hr 5 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 45 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 5 -6 apples, peeled,cored and sliced
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 9-inch double-crust pie shells, unbaked

Recipe

  • 1 lightly dust the bottom crust with flour.
  • 2 add the sliced apples to fill the pan.
  • 3 sprinkle the sugar on top of apples.
  • 4 then sprinkle on the salt and cinnamon.
  • 5 pour the molasses over the top.
  • 6 dot with the butter.
  • 7 put the pie crust on top and seal edges.
  • 8 cut a few slits in the top.
  • 9 bake in a 425 degree oven for 40-45 minutes.
