Ingredients

  • 6 eggs
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 3/4 cups flour
  • 1 1/4 cups milk
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 4 1/2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 1/2 tablespoons whipping cream
  • 1 cup coconut
  • 1 1/2 cups sliced almonds
  • 1 pint whipping cream, whipped
  • 2 tablespoons icing sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Recipe

  • 1 beat eggs a little, add sugar gradually and beat for about 7 minutes.
  • 2 add vanilla.
  • 3 mix flour and baking powder; add to egg mixture.
  • 4 scald milk, remove from heat and add butter.
