Apple Cake

Ingredients

• 2 cups sugar
• 1 1/2 cups oil
• 3 eggs
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 3 cups self-rising flour
• 3 cups chopped apples
• 1 teaspoon cinnamon
• 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
• 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
• 1 cup light brown sugar
• 3/4 cup butter
• 1/4 cup milk

Recipe

• 1 beat together first 4 ingredients.
• 2 in seperate bowl mix flour and spices.
• 3 gradually stir in flour mixture to egg mixture.
• 4 add apples and nuts.
• 5 bake at 350 degrees 50 minutes for 13" x 9" pan.
• 6 topping:.
• 7 in small saucepan on stove, bring all 3 ingredients to boil.
• 8 cook 3 minutes, stirring frequently.
• 9 with end of wooden spoon punch holes in baked cake.
• 10 pour hot topping over warm cake.
• 11 top with chopped nuts if desired.
