Butterscotch Fingers

Total Time: 35 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 8 slices bread, thin
  • 2 ounces brown sugar
  • 2 ounces golden syrup
  • apricot jam
  • 1/4 cup butter (2oz.)
  • 3 -5 nuts, to decorate

Recipe

  • 1 remove crusts of the bread slices.
  • 2 sandwich slices of bread with the apricot jam.
  • 3 cut each sandwich into fingers.
  • 4 melt butter, sugar and syrup in a frying pan till the sugar is dissolved.
  • 5 cook fingers in this mixture, turning over, until golden brown on both sides.
  • 6 serve at once, topped with chopped nuts!
