Black And Cheesecake

Total Time: 3 hrs Preparation Time: 1 hr Cook Time: 2 hrs

Ingredients

  • 18 oreo cookies
  • 5 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 32 ounces cream cheese
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 4 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup sour cream
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 4 ounces chocolate, melted
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • 6 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips, melted
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 4 ounces chocolate, melted
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 4 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips, melted
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar

Recipe

  • 1 chocolate cookie crust: crumble oreos and mix with melted butter. press evenly into bottom on greased 9 inches cheesecake pan. set aside.
  • 2 have all filling ingred at room temperature and preheat oven to 350.
  • 3 in large bowl, beat 32 oz cream cheese, ¾ cup sugar and cornstarch with an electric mixer until smooth.
  • 4 add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. stir in ¾ cup sour cream and 2 tbsp vanilla.
  • 5 melt chocolate; stir in 1 tbsp vanilla and continue stirring until smooth.
  • 6 pour 1/3 of batter into chocolate mixture, stirring until evenly mixed. set mixture aside.
  • 7 melt semi-sweet chocolate and stir ¼ cup sour cream and 2 tbsp sugar into this mixture and continue stirring until smooth.
  • 8 stir semi-sweet chocolate mixture into remaining batter in original mixing bowl. using the beater, mix until well blended.
  • 9 pour half of semisweet batter in crust. using the back of a spoon to spread evenly over crust.
  • 10 pour chocolate batter over semisweet layer, creating a second layer. as with previous layer, spread evenly.
  • 11 pour the rest of the semisweet batter over the previous layer and spread evenly.
  • 12 bake at 350 for 15 minute reduce heat to 200 and bake 2 hrs or until center no longer looks shiny or wet.
  • 13 remove from oven and run knife around inside edge of pan. turn oven off and return cake to over for additional 2 hours chill overnight.
  • 14 to make double chocolate frosting:
  • 15 in a medium bowl, beat 8 oz cream cheese and 1 cup powdered sugar with an electric mixer until smooth.
  • 16 in a one-quart bowl, melt 4 oz chocolate. after melting, stir in 2 tsp vanilla. set aside.
  • 17 in a second one-quart bowl, melt 4 oz semisweet chocolate. after melting, stir in 2 tbsp powdered sugar.
  • 18 divide cream cheese and powdered sugar evenly between two mixtures, mixing each thoroughly.
  • 19 spread dark chocolate over top of chilled cake. spread chocolate over dark chocolate, creating a design on top. keep chilled.
