Brown Sugar Bread Pudding

Total Time: 50 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 40 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 4 cups bread, torn into bite size pieces
  • 2 cups milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon

Recipe

  • 1 in a small pan over low heat, melt butter with brown sugar for 5 minutes stirring occasionally. set aside.
  • 2 in a large bowl, combine all other ingredients except bread. mix thoroughly.
  • 3 combine butter and sugar mixture with egg mixture, stirring constantly.
  • 4 spray 9x13" pan and cover the bottom with the torn bread.
  • 5 pour mixture over the bread.
  • 6 stir together to make sure all the bread is covered.
  • 7 bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees for 40 minutes or until the top is lightly brown.
  • 8 serve warm. best if cooled at least 30min.
