Apple Cranberry Streusel Custard Pie

Total Time: 1 hr 5 mins Preparation Time: 25 mins Cook Time: 40 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 cup hot water
  • 1 1/2 cups fresh or dry-pack frozen cranberries
  • 2 medium apples, peeled and sliced (about 1 1/2 cups)
  • 9 inches unbaked pie shells
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup butter or 1/4 cup margarine, softened
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts

Recipe

  • 1 place rack in lower third of oven and preheat to 425.
  • 2 in large bowl, combine sweetened condensed milk and cinnamon. add eggs, water, and fruits; mix well.
  • 3 pour into pie crust.
  • 4 in medium bowl, combine brown sugar and flour; cut in butter until crumbly. add nuts.
  • 5 sprinkle mixture over pie. bake 10 minutes.
  • 6 reduce oven temperature to 375, continue baking about 30-40 minutes or until golden brown.
  • 7 cool. store covered in refrigerator.
