Apple Cider Pound Cake

Ingredients

- 1 cup butter (softened)
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 3 cups sugar
- 6 eggs
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/4 teaspoons apple pie spice
- 1 cup apple cider
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Recipe
- 1 cream butter and shortening; gradually add sugar, beating until light and fluffy.
- 2 add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- 3 combine next 4 ingredients; add to creamed mixture alternately with apple cider, beginning and ending with dry ingredients.
- 4 stir in vanilla.
- 5 pour batter into a greased and floured 10 inch tube pan. bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 20 minutes.
- 6 cool in pan 10 to 15 minutes.
