Apple Cider Pound Cake

Total Time: 1 hr 40 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 1 hr 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 10
  • 1 cup butter (softened)
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 6 eggs
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons apple pie spice
  • 1 cup apple cider
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Recipe

  • 1 cream butter and shortening; gradually add sugar, beating until light and fluffy.
  • 2 add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  • 3 combine next 4 ingredients; add to creamed mixture alternately with apple cider, beginning and ending with dry ingredients.
  • 4 stir in vanilla.
  • 5 pour batter into a greased and floured 10 inch tube pan. bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 20 minutes.
  • 6 cool in pan 10 to 15 minutes.
