Caramel Tangelo Or Oranges

Total Time: 20 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 2
  • 1 teaspoon butter
  • 2 tangelos or 2 oranges, peeled and cut into quarters
  • 1/2 cup caster sugar
  • 1/2 lemon, juice of
  • 1 tablespoon cointreau liqueur (optional)

Recipe

  • 1 melt butter in saucepan.
  • 2 add fruit pieces and caster sugar.
  • 3 stir until sugar dissolves.
  • 4 cook on medium-high until sugar caramelises.
  • 5 remove from heat as soon as browning process begins otherwise it can burn.
  • 6 sit in lemon juice and cointreau.
