Caramel Cake

Ingredients

- 125 g butter
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tablespoon golden syrup
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 1/2 cups self-raising flour
- 1 tablespoon cocoa
Recipe
- 1 turn oven to 170 degrees.
- 2 grease and flour a 20cm round tin.
- 3 cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- 4 beat in egg.
- 5 beat well.
- 6 put milk, syrup and soda in a pan.
- 7 heat gently, don't boil!
- 8 sift flour into a bowl.
- 9 add milk mixture.
- 10 mix well.
- 11 spread only half of the mixture into prepared tin.
- 12 add cocoa to rest of batter.
- 13 mix it well.
- 14 add to prepared tin - don't mix it up.
- 15 bake 40-45 minutes.
