Butterscotch Sauce

Total Time: 20 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups brown sugar, lightly packed
  • 3/4 cup corn syrup
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Recipe

  • 1 combine brown sugar, corn syrup and butter in a saucepan. bring to boil ove medium heat, stirring constantly.
  • 2 cook, without mixing, until mixture reaches 238 degrees on candy thermometer (softball stage).
  • 3 remove from heat and let cool to lukewarm.
  • 4 blend in cream and vanilla.
  • 5 serve at room temperature over ice cream or ice cream desserts.
  • 6 store refrigerated in covered jar.
