Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cups brown sugar, lightly packed
- 3/4 cup corn syrup
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Recipe
- 1 combine brown sugar, corn syrup and butter in a saucepan. bring to boil ove medium heat, stirring constantly.
- 2 cook, without mixing, until mixture reaches 238 degrees on candy thermometer (softball stage).
- 3 remove from heat and let cool to lukewarm.
- 4 blend in cream and vanilla.
- 5 serve at room temperature over ice cream or ice cream desserts.
- 6 store refrigerated in covered jar.
