Butterscotch Nut Bars

Total Time: 1 hr 8 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 48 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup corn syrup
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 3/4 cups butterscotch chips
  • 1 1/3 cups pecans, coarsely chopped

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350 degrees f.
  • 2 for the crust, combine all the ingredients, mixing until crumbly.
  • 3 press firmly into a greased 13" x 9" pan.
  • 4 bake for 15 to 18 minutes or until light golden.
  • 5 for the topping, beat together the eggs, sugar, corn syrup and butter until blended.
  • 6 stir in the butterscotch chips and pecans.
  • 7 pour evenly over the crust.
  • 8 bake for 30 minutes or until set and golden.
  • 9 cool completely and then cut into bars.
