4 Layer Caramel Chocolate Oat Bars

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup quick oats
  • 1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips or 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 0.75 (16 ounce) jar caramel ice cream topping
  • 3 tablespoons flour

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350°.
  • 2 combine all crust ingredients, blending well and forming crumbs.
  • 3 place 1/2 crumb mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch square pan.
  • 4 bake for 10 minutes.
  • 5 sprinkle chocolate chips and pecans.
  • 6 pour caramel mix over top.
  • 7 sprinkle remaining crumb mixture.
  • 8 bake 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  • 9 chill 1-2 hours, then cut into bars.
