Butterfinger Dessert Bars

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter or 1 cup margarine
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 4 eggs, well beaten
  • 2 cups pecans
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 cup shredded coconut
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 6 tablespoons butter or 6 tablespoons margarine
  • 2 -3 tablespoons milk (half&half) or 2 -3 tablespoons cream (half&half)
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla

Recipe

  • 1 bars:.
  • 2 mix butter,2 cups flour, salt and sugar until crumbly.
  • 3 press into 9x13 cake pan.
  • 4 bake 10-15 minutes at 375 degrees.
  • 5 mix eggs, pecans, brown sugar, 1/4 cup flour, baking powder and coconut together.
  • 6 spread over cooked crust.
  • 7 bake 15 minutes more or until top is not soft.
  • 8 cool.
  • 9 frost with icing.
  • 10 icing:.
  • 11 combine powdered sugar, butter, milk, and vanilla.
  • 12 mix well.
  • 13 spread on cooled bars.
  • 14 cut into 1" x 1 1/2" bars.
