Butter Tarts

Ingredients
- 24 frozen tart shells
- 1 (300 ml) can eagle brand sweetened condensed milk (regular or fat-free)
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/3 cup corn syrup
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 egg, well beaten
- 1 pinch cinnamon (optional)
- 2/3 cup golden raisin
Recipe
- 1 remove tart shells from freezer and arrange on 2 baking sheets. let thaw 10 minutes.
- 2 meanwhile, whisk together sweetened condensed milk, brown sugar, corn syrup, butter, egg and cinnamon. stir in raisins. pour evenly into tart shells.
- 3 bake in preheated oven (375f) for 18 minutes or until center is just set and pastry is golden. cool on wire rack. serve warm or at room temperature.
- 4 for plump soft textured raisins pour a little boiling water over raisins. let stand 3-4 minutes. drain and pat dry.
