Butter Shortcake

Ingredients

• 1 cup flour
• 2/3 cup sugar
• 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
• 1/4 teaspoon salt
• 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
• 1/3 cup butter, softened
• 1/2 cup milk
• 1 egg

Recipe

• 1 heat oven to 350.
• 2 generously greas and flour shortcake pan; set aside.
• 3 in large bowl, combine all ingrediants.
• 4 blend at low speed until moistened; beat 2 minutes on medium speed, scraping bowl often.
• 5 pour batter into pan, dividing evenly.
• 6 bake at 350 for 18-20 minutes.
• 7 let cool 10 minutes in pan; invert onto cooling rack and cool completely.
• 8 serve with topping of your choice.
