Banana Bread Pudding

Total Time: 2 hrs Preparation Time: 1 hr Cook Time: 1 hr

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf french bread
  • 2 tablespoons vanilla extract, pure
  • 4 bananas, mashed
  • 4 cups milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg, freshly ground
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon rum (optional)

Recipe

  • 1 cut the bread into cubes, place in a bowl and pour the milk on it, put aside for an hour.
  • 2 preheat oven to 325 degrees f.
  • 3 grease 9 x 13 inch baking dish.
  • 4 in a separate bowl mix the eggs, sugar and vanilla essence.
  • 5 pour this mixture onto the bread mixture.
  • 6 next add the mashed bananas and raisins.
  • 7 now add the rum, cinnamom and ground nutmeg.
  • 8 pour this mixture into the prepared baking dish and bake in the oven for 1 hour.
  • 9 let cool before serving.
