Caramel-walnut Brownies

Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 eggs
- 2/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup baking cocoa
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
- 12 vanilla caramels
- 1 tablespoon milk
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 350.
- 2 grease 9x9x2 baking pan.
- 3 mix sugar, butter, vanilla, and eggs.
- 4 in separate bowl mix flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt.
- 5 mix wet and dry ingredients until well-incorporated.
- 6 add walnuts.
- 7 spread evenly in pan.
- 8 bake 20 to 25 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
- 9 while brownies are in oven, heat caramels and milk over low heat (or in double boiler) and stir until melted and smooth.
- 10 drizzle caramel over warm brownies.
- 11 cool completely before cutting into 4 rows by 4 rows.
