Butterscotch Crisp Cookies

Ingredients

- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup oats
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
- 1 cup coconut
Recipe
- 1 cream shortening and brown sugar.
- 2 add egg and vanilla.
- 3 in seperate bowl sift together flour, soda, and salt.
- 4 add to creamed mixture.
- 5 add oates, nuts and coconut.
- 6 drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet.
- 7 flatten with glass bottom dipped in flour.
- 8 bake at 325 for 12 minutes.
