Bread And Butter Pudding

Total Time: 55 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 45 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 6 slices bread
  • 2 cups milk, warm
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • maple syrup (on the side)
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup raisins

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 325 degrees f.
  • 2 butter a deep dish 9 inch pie plate or 9 inch square cake pan
  • 3 generously butter one side of bread, cut in half to make two triangles.
  • 4 arrange triangles, buttered side up, in prepared dish.
  • 5 in bowl, beat eggs well mixed.
  • 6 add milk, sugar and vanilla; beat together.
  • 7 stir in raisins.
  • 8 slowly pour over bread making sure all bread is well soaked.
  • 9 bake 45 minutes or until custard has set. serve with warm maple syrup.
