Banana Split Dessert

Ingredients

- 1/2 cup butter or 1/2 cup margarine, melted
- 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups sifted powdered sugar
- 3/4 cup butter or 3/4 cup margarine, softened
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 (20 ounce) can crushed pineapple in syrup, well drained
- 4 medium bananas
- 1 (9 ounce) carton cool whip
- 1/2 chopped pecans

Recipe
- 1 combine melted butter and graham crackers.
- 2 pat in bottom of 13 x 9 x 2 pan.
- 3 beat eggs on high speed 4 minutes (critical of time).
- 4 add powdered sugar, softened butter and vanilla and beat 5 minutes more on high.
- 5 spread over crumbs evenly.
- 6 chill for 30 minutes in refrigerator.
- 7 spread pineapples over cream mixture.
- 8 arrange bananas over the pineapples.
- 9 cover with cool whip.
- 10 sprinkle with nuts and then place a few cherries.
- 11 cover, refrigerate 6 hours or overnight.
