Caramel Pudding Cake

Total Time: 50 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 12
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 -5 cups water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 cups flour
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon shortening
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Recipe

  • 1 spread sugar in frying pan and stir until caramelized.
  • 2 add the water and simmer until sugar and water form a caramel sauce.
  • 3 meanwhile, boil the raisins with the water and the shortening.
  • 4 mix the first four ingredients together.
  • 5 add the vanilla to the raisin mixture, and then add this to the flour mixture.
  • 6 stir together.
  • 7 put sauce in 9x13 pan and add the batter by spoonfuls over the top.
  • 8 bake at 350º till warm and bubbly, approximately 30 minutes.
  • 9 serve with whipped cream or ice cream over the top. delicious!
